NHS PRICE GUIDE
NHS prices fall into 3 Bands
Band 1 course of treatment – £27.90
This covers an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish (if clinically needed), and planning for further treatment.
Band 2 course of treatment – £76.60
This covers all treatment included in Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
Band 3 course of treatment – £332.10
This covers all treatment included in Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges.
Emergency dental treatment – £27.90 (urgent treatment)
This covers emergency care such as pain relief or a temporary filling. Once the urgent course of treatment has been completed, you may be advised to book another appointment for a separate course of treatment. This course will not fall under urgent treatment, therefore you will have to pay a second charge in the relevant treatment band.
